Hi Sarah sorry it's taken me an age to pop over and say hi - yes I am in Aberdeen - in fact I live one street away from Sara - and as I know you have read her blog - i can tell you that I can testify to the trauma her insides are going through with the mad diet ---- the rest I will leave up to your imagination!!!! - how are you finding soul talk? A lot of my energies forums wise go into Planet Baha'i - but once I have got into the swing of creating a new habit - I am looking forwards to some blogging and stuff - even more 'warts and all' than sara - hmmm I wander if folks are ready !!!! Hope to meet you sometime when I am down the road visiting , lots of love , Lynne xx

Gardening? That's awesome, and really appropriate for springtime too I think :)
Thanks for your comments about my page, none of the old styles I'd tried really fitted, so I picked another of the pre-set themes and this time, it worked :)
I'm going pretty well, just at home with my parents for a week for easter, but I need to head back to Edinburgh soon to finish off a couple of essays that I have :( While I complain about my coursework a lot, I really don't have a lot else to do, and it means I can spend a lot of time with Baha'is or doing other things that I love, so I should count my blessings I figure :)
How're things going? How's your fledgling business?

I wasn't ignoring you.. honestly I've been offline for quite some time. I believe that Faith has to appeal to a person's logic, but Faith must also appeal to one's heart. I truly believe one cannot have an open mind without an open heart, of course one cannot have an open heart without an open mind. I feel that if Faith appeals to just one instead of both parts of humanity, then one is just going through the motions of belief. I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it again 8-) I'd rather stand before the Divine and be judged because I took the wrong path, than to be judged because I lied in the Face of the Divine.

The struggle to find the path continues. By the way... I love what you have done with your page!

Hey Sarah,
Yeah, I just read over the comment I left your poem, and it does sound like a food description! I guess I must have been hungry, lol! Reading poetry often makes me (try to) use flowery language, which is a bit hit and miss really.
How have you been? Got any plans for Easter?

Words are always getting conventionalized to some secondary meaning. It is one of the works of poetry to take the truants in custody and bring them back to their right senses. W.B. Yeats

Hi Sarah, a few words of encouragement to the poets of the land from an illustrious expat compatriot. Cheers on St. Patrick's to you!

I had just visited there a couple of days back in 2000 (at the time I was doing a semester abroad in London). I'm a transactional lawyer (contracts and negotiations) and I work for a Swiss company here in China. I love how the world seems so small (in particular because of the internet)! Unfortunately I can't figure out how to send a message to you instead of writing on your wall, otherwise I would write more. Tell me about you. Where are you from and what do you do?

Hi Sarah! I tried sending you a message but I wasn't successful. Thanks for all your insightful and beautiful poetry and thoughts you have posted.

I live in Beijing and have been here on and off since 1992 but most recently moved here in 2005. I absolutely love it and above all else am thankful.

Are you originally from Edinburgh. I've been there and loved the feel of the place and the people I met.

I'm an ocean away. I bet that doesn't help eh? hehe I visited Edinburgh 2 years ago. It was brief but nice.

I use the energy healing on friends but do not have a profession right now. I am a waitress at a quaint fish and chip shop just down the road. I'm hoping to study music and become a music therapist in the next few years.

It's sometime hard to trust people you've never met. I know that connections can be made online I'm just apprehensive about the whole thing I guess. In the "real" world I trust people quite easily, sometime too easily.

Thanks for the info on Reiki.
What kind of facility do you work at? What have you learned recently?

Nice to connect with you, thank you

Christina

Well...sort of...these kind of things are so much of a collaboration of ideas and efforts, and really defined by the content that everybody contributes. That said, you can give me a soft thanks, but then give yourself one too!

I'm really happy to hear you feel safe enough to express yourself on here. That really would be one of the metrics of success I think. My feeling is that if you're authentic and you have as your sincere goal a quest for truth, and that the content is delivered in a sensitive fashion, then we can really create a community here that can delve into profound spiritual matters and help its members try to make sense out of this world.

Definition Of love-

Love is gentle, love is kind.
Breaker of chains, freer of minds.
Love is patient, love is quiet-
yet fiery and so passionate.

It deepens and extends to everything around.
Between the ‘two’, loves pulse can be found.
It interconnects and intertwines.
Yielding much fruit, like grape laden vines.

It’s the silent worker that knit
life together and yet we don’t see it.
It’s the force that’s in the whole of nature.
Guiding the souls of each living creature.

Love is constant, leaves a trace.
Conqueror of time, crosser of space.
Loves part of life, love is the essence.
There to bind all, who come in its presence.

We are all Part of the One body...

I was inspired my Sara's blog about 'How long art thou to slumber on thy bed'. Thanks Sara for sharing you experience..

That was me this morning...I really just wanted to bury my head in the pillow and not get up..I really didn't want to face the world today...Yet..I could see the sun beaming through my bedroom window..calling for me to 'get up'...I was presented with a choice this morning...I could choose to stay in my bed and 'wallow in it'...or get up and go enjoy what beautiful weather God… Continue

What God is to me...:)

Creation

A kaleidoscope of colours delighting the eyes,
spectrums of light from rainbows in the skies.
Or the gay glowing greens from midsummer trees,
the colour of Gods love for our eyes to see.

A cool calming call from a whispering breeze,
the release and the freedom from a dip n the seas!
A warm blissful touch from the sun’s radiant light.
The feel of Gods love, for those without sight.

Fragrance of honeysuckle and fresh morning dew
or the scent of a rose as it blossomed and grew.
